A
Matter Of Perception
As the seasons
change it's
Mother Nature's
calling
And when the trees
respond
Their leaves
commence falling
When the grass
stops growing
And gardens are
bare
Squirrels nowhere
to be seen
But you know that
they're there
The same window
peered through
The flora robust
and strong
Door opened to
night time
With crickets
singing their song
And on this side of
the window
My mind starts to
race
And ponders
perception
Is this just, a
time and a space
For if I close the
blinds
The plants and
trees could be growing
Are there
vegetables in the garden
And from this side,
no one is knowing
Squirrels could be
gathering
Tonight crickets
are they singing
Do you think it's
insane
Something to do
with upbringing
So which side of
the glass
Does anyone know
Give me a hand with
the blinds
Show me where to go
Is this a point of
view
Or from one's
mind's file folder
Is it true reality
or just
In the eye of the
beholder
Makes one go very
deep
Is this a deception
Which side of the
glass
A matter of
perception
Take me there both sides of the glass are filled with beauty! May I explore both?

ReplyDeletePerception is the depth of your creativity. It is also the downfall to many battles being fought! This is a powerful piece that challenges the mind to think...about the other side of the glass! Well done!
