                                                  A Walk Through The Mind

Through these hallowed and precious years of life we travel
Through the errs of our ways, 'til the final stroke of the judgement day's gavel
Should we have done things differently, could they have been better, did you try your best?
Those mistakes were they purposeful or simply convenient, can we put our minds at rest?

Shouldn't we be happy and content, 'cause for many life has been a blessing
Most have had the opportunity to do well, so why do these thoughts, with our minds keep messing?
Why do we have to doubt ourselves, for most of us have done no wrong
Why do we question the choices we made, have we not been considerate of others all along?

It's said our actions are cyclical, some say an adage so profound
And what is it we're not so proud, for what goes out, also come back around
Do you constantly get lost in thought and were your choices, truly meant to be?
If we had chosen differently, would that have affected your destiny?

Can we really leave this world, knowing honestly your best had been applied?
Do you think there is any after-life and is there another side?
Nice to have one's mind critiqued, by someone passionate and accomplished, someone of your kind
And to experience love in the Nth degree with a special person, who truly blows your mind!

Reminiscence of so many days past and the things, we should or shouldn't have done
With younger eyes and mindfulness there is no doubt, you can be the one
Without true love and affection, life's contentment you'll never find
For all it will be is a journey and recollective thoughts in your mind!
